Titans lineman Ben Jones keeps pregame barefoot stroll tradition alive on snow-covered Lambeau Field - Yahoo Sports

Ben Jones, the Tennessee Titans’ starting center, wasn’t about to end his pregame routine when a little snow fell on Sunday. Or even quite a bit, from the looks of it.

The Titans are facing the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night, and Jones made sure to keep alive a tradition of walking the field barefoot — something he has done for years.

In the snow. In shorts. Without shoes or socks. And he seems quite happy about it, to boot.

And by the looks of it, the snow doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

Jones was born and raised in Alabama, played his college ball at Georgia and has played professionally for teams in Texas and Tennessee. So props to a lifelong Southerner for braving the wintry conditions in such scant attire.

Jones walks barefoot before every game — and has been doing so for years, no matter the weather. The tradition began with his brother when they first were playing football together as kids. More credit for not breaking the pregame routine. The commitment is honorable.

Jones and his brother were 10 and 13 years old, respectively, when their father died in a helicopter accident.
