Grizzlies at Jazz: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Jazz 123, Grizzlies 98

Money line (ML)

The Jazz are expected to get SG Donovan Mitchell back in the lineup, which should change their fortunes both on offense and defense. They suffered consecutive losses only three times all season, and their loss in Game 1 to Memphis was their first in four matchups this season. They swept the regular-season series.

However, PASS on the money line tonight. Across the playoffs, Game 2 has been less competitive for the favorites in the series and here having to wager four times what you can win doesn’t give you enough value. Look at the spread and the total.

Against the spread (ATS)

There have already been three Game 2 blowout wins by the home team in the playoffs. Both Utah and Memphis have been strong this year against the spread. The Jazz are 41-32 ATS this year and 23-14 ATS at home. The Grizzlies are 44-31 ATS and 24-14 ATS on the road.

With the return of Mitchell, Utah should be much better defensively. Even without him, the Jazz almost recovered in Game 1 from a 17-point deficit to lose by only three.

Take the JAZZ -9 (-110).

Over/Under (O/U)

Game 1 went Over the projected total. Three of the four games between the two teams have gone Over and averaged 226.5 points.

Utah should score more than they did in Game 1 and they will give up fewer points but it will still be enough to take OVER 218.5 POINTS (-110).
