The Buffalo Bills listed three players as questionable leading into this week’s date at the Kansas City Chiefs. Of those three players, linebacker Matt Milano is easily the most important, as the fifth-year linebacker is among the league’s best three-down players at his position.
Matt Milano is inactive tonight, as his hamstring just isn’t quite ready yet. Who’s in and who’s out for the Bills? The inactive list for each team is below.
RB Matt Breida
Even with veteran special teams ace Taiwan Jones struggling with a hamstring injury, Breida is out and Jones is active.
OT Tommy Doyle
Just one week after making his professional debut, Doyle is back to healthy scratch territory with guard Jon Feliciano back to active.
DT Harrison Phillips
After playing last week, the Bills will deactivate Phillips and keep both A.J. Epenesa and Boogie Basham active for this week’s contest.
DT Vernon Butler
Another week, another healthy scratch for Butler, whose $5.85 million cap hit isn’t quite as bad as former Buffalo defensive end Trent Murphy’s $9.775 million cap hit last year...but it’s quickly approaching that territory in terms of poor contracts. Harrison Phillips is also inactive this week.
LB Matt Milano
This one hurts, as the Bills could definitely use both of their starting linebackers at full strength when trying to contain the Chiefs’ deadly passing offense. However, Buffalo will go without Milano, who suffered a hamstring injury last week. Veteran A.J. Klein figures to see most of the reps in Milano’s stead.
Here are the Chiefs’ inactives. Defensive tackle Chris Jones, listed as questionable thanks to a wrist injury, is inactive.
